A Childrens International Workshop 4th and 5th of January 2010
In association with Gracia Arts Project and Collage and sponsored by Ambilim
During both days of the workshop, the children celebrated Christmas and the Three Kings Day by making large 3D sculptures of animals, objects and people and costumes, hats and masks combining imagery from different cultures; such as the Three Kings, the Caganer, the Catalan Christmas log, Father Christmas, reindeer, elves, snowmen, angels etc.
At 6pm on the second day, the parents and children paraded through Gracia in their costumes handing out sweets to passersby before finishing in an organic cafe called La Nena to celebrate Christmas, drink hot chocolate and eat churros.
On the 9th January the art was displayed in a public exhibition at the Gracia Arts Project Gallery at Carrer Sant Honorat 11, Barcelona. The opening event was held between 5 and 7pm.
It was a great success and everyone involved loved it!
