About Colour Me Happy

‘Colour Me Happy’ is a recently established group run by Flavia Idun that aims to create fun and educational workshops for children of all ages and nationalities, celebrating the different cultures and languages of Barcelona and integrating them into one artistic voice. In collaboration with the Gracia Arts Project (GAP) and their sister company El Rusc, it promotes local and young artists and by showing artistic uses for recycled materials, also addresses very important environmental issues.

The work from the events is then displayed in an exhibition; promoting the art, the theme of the event, making art more accessible to the public and also celebrating the participants and what they have achieved. The workshops can be shaped to current events, school curriculum, traditions, global and local issues and cultural themes and being multi-lingual means the children and families will not only have had fun and had their work presented in a public space, but also will have learnt something new.

Colour Me Happy wishes to make art accessible to everyone, so endeavors to keep the price of the events as low as possible. This means that we need support from local businesses, the council and schools. The workshops are not only helping the environment and the families of Barcelona, but are also a wonderful promotional opportunity as the events are covered in local newspapers and magazines as well as on the World Wide Web.

As Colour Me Happy works in collaboration with the Gracia Arts Project, a non-profit organization, any financial support received can be viewed as a charity donation. With eight years experience of running successful children’s art workshops in the UK, Colour Me Happy is set to achieve great things in Spain.

Colour Me Happy! We highlight environmental problems and by making the art out of recycled materials and refuse, each workshop is cleaning up our city and helping the planet. We believe all children possess artistic ability but are not offered the opportunity to develop this because of the limitations of school curriculi.

We all see life and express ourselves differently, everyone has an artistic flare and
Colour Me Happy will draw it out and encourage all creative ideas and explorations.
We can colour the world happy, lets start with Barcelona!

Flavia Idun has been carrying out art workshops for children aged between 1year and 18 years
